Qualified Charitable Distribution

Give During Your Golden Years

Support Scotty’s House and satisfy your required minimum distribution with a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA. It may also help avoid taxes on otherwise taxable distributions.

A QCD allows individuals who are 70½ years old or older to donate up to $100,000 total to one or more charities directly from a taxable IRA. Because the gift goes directly to Scotty’s House, a 501c3 nonprofit, without passing through your hands, the dollar amount of the gift may be excluded from your taxable income up to a maximum of $100,000 annually, with some exceptions.

To learn more about eligibility and QCDs, please visit IRS.gov or consult with your tax advisor.

How do I make a QCD to Scotty’s House?
Your QCD must be made directly from your IRA custodian to Scotty’s House on your behalf. Contact your retirement plan administrator today to begin.
