Scotty's House is the Child Advocacy Center of the Brazos Valley. Founded in 1995, it is our mission to provide services to abused children and their families, which bring comfort in times of crisis and lay a foundation for a healthy future.
Each child's interview is conducted by a trained Forensic Interviewer in a child friendly environment.
A recording of the interview with the child is made available to agencies involved, thus reducing the number of times the child must retell the story. The recording may be then be used in court proceedings.
Our Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Registered Nurse provides onsite medical exams and follow-up treatment.
Meetings are held regularly with representatives from each involved agency to review each case. Every case is followed through to final deposition. This communication and coordination increases the number of cases that can be successfully resolved.
